A. ACCOUNTS AND ADMINISTRATIVE TRAINING INSTITUTE

Rs 7.00 lakhs

National Training Policy gives more emphasis on capacity building. The expenditure on capacity building is regarded as an investment. It is not an overhead. As an apex institute needs to be equipped with adequate training aids, classroom equipments, books and periodicals etc. Accordingly, an amount of Rs 7.00 lakhs have been provided for the current financial year, 2001-2002, for the following purposes:-

(a) Rs 5.00 lakhs for the development of basic infrastructure like classroom equipments, teaching aids, library and library furniture, computer, computer room furniture etc.

(b) Rs 2.00 lakhs for the purchase of books and other materials for the proposed coaching classes for entrance examinations.

B. ELEVENTH FINANCE COMMISSION

Rs 20.00 lakhs

An allocation of Rs 20.00 lakhs has been provided to the Finance Department for the Annual Plan 2001-2002 by the 11^th Finance Commission for Fiscal reforms.
